I don't cook great (Proved by theorem of Inversion)

Just a bit of all that she cooks!
If P is true Q is true
Inversion says If P is not true Q is not true either.
Now I am going to prove in this post that I don't cook great by this theorem based on some illustrated facts.
I have my parents here visiting me for a month. And since the time my mom is here, I don't know if my kitchen is missing me or not but I am not missing it by any chance. My mom was able to get adjusted quite sooner with my kitchen. Of course, a good Kitchener has this ability of finding comfort in any new kitchen space along with cooking some great food.
So, usually every evening when I set away for home from my office in the evening I have my head ticking to find which restaurant can be hit tonight for dinner. Oh I am gutsy to cook lunch almost every day. But while I leave off from office, dinner is one craving that I wish to be satisfied deliciously. And my mind is battling at that moment for dinner outside vs. home. Even though I am not that lazy hands and feet (ass) that I can't cook my dinner (I run 4 miles every alternate day ), I resist self-cooking at that moment.
But since the time she is here, though my head ticks again to choose  Chipotle/TGIF/Cheesecake/Sweet Tomatoes vs Mamma's food, my taste buds just shout out telling me to go home .!
You see!
And then I asked myself, what is the matter girl?
And here then came this concept of inversion:
When Mamma is cooking dinner -> I don't go outside for dinner
Negation (When Mamma is cooking dinner) -> Negation (I don't go outside for dinner)
When I know I am cooking dinner -> I go outside for dinner
P.S.    Mamma not cooking dinner means I am doing that
Hence proved!

Which one are you?

Love for a pen

Some stories are meant to be written with a particular pen.
And I have decided to write all my stories for few coming months with this pen.- Cello papersoft

I am actually not branding a pen here while in one way I am definitely doing so.It all started that good moment when I borrowed a pen from my cousin for a minute or two at my uncle's place which I got to visit on my trip to India this year.
While I am that sort of a person who when borrows pen try to make sure not to walk away with it as it is usually the case. People just walk away in conversation taking the borrowed pen along, to never return it back. And this good way I have often lost some of my favorite pens.

When I say favorite, I mean that when I write with a pen for a longer time I tend to develop a bond with it and go emotional about it. Crazy I know. and when someone just walks away with it, I feel that was not really a great thing to do. Hence when I borrow a pen I make sure I just return that back thinking the other person could be one of my types who have actually developed a bond with his/her pen.

So I borrowed this pen from my cousin and when I wrote with it, I was like flattered with the kind of writing that came out with it.

And I went emotionless to betray my cousin and slipped it in my bag and literally stole away. And I actually did that. And it has been good three months that this wonderful pen of mine is still with me , creating stories(particularly grocery lists) and literally sharing a bond with me.

Fearing that the ink would run off anytime now, I have got a stock for it through one of my known dears coming down to Jacksonville from India. More stories to go written with my fresh stock of pens.

A word of thanks for those lovely people who got these for me.

Why are you giving me that look ?

I love Dunkin Donuts!

Are you sweet-tooth?
I have every reason to say that I am one. I love ice-creams,donuts, chocolates, a lot.
And once a day, I do get a craving to have one of them. Last day, it was for ice-cream and I had chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. ;) Darn! I know there should be a post on ice-creams. How can I miss that!
Must be coming soon !
Anyway, it is about donuts today. For most of the times, Dunkin Donuts is where I get my donuts from. It has been kind of a routine that we pay visit to Dunkin before,.....Hold on ! I think I am talking too much about my routine on my posts. Routine picture , this one talked about one of my morning routines too ;) So lets just skip my routines and lets talk about what Dunkin has to offer for me or if you wanna try what I like to have.
Maple Frosted Donuts, You can trust this not so charming looking donut.

Chocolate Glazed. It is never surprising for me to invest my interest in chocolate varieties of anything.

Here comes my favorite. Blueberry Cake donut. One to go for at first place !

When you don't know what to choose, this is the one to have.
Would you still like to say that you are not a sweet tooth when you have made through the entire post reading about sugar  and reached that part where I say Goodbyes and 'See you later' things. ??
Laughter Rolling. Cya.

Routine picture!!

It is kind of a routine these days that before we leave for office, my husband clicks me a picture. Later when I look at them, they give my executive fashion sense a little food for thought. That way I can redefine them a better way, when I wear them again, and also when I am buying something new.
I am sorry this is going to be entirely a girly post, in complete senses.
I have these pictures posted below for you to comment and give feedback on what looks good on me, how else can they go, or probably they can set some of your own triggers to try what you find new or interesting about them.
I like the whole color combination. I like having shrug sleeves shorter than my shirt's.

I like the print of this dress. Its A-line shape gives it a flair which is kinda retro.

I like striped skirt which give a semi-formal look.

This is a dress and not separates. I like the softness of these two colors which give me a soft look too.

I team up these basic black pants and blazer of mine with any color plain top. Red lipcolor fills in some vibrance.

This dress is as formal as it is casual. So I loved it. I also loved the orange color down in its flair.

Length of this dress being a little long and a little longer sleeves give this dress a different style. And I love the color pattern.

These dresses are from Apt 9, Forever 21, Papaya, Chaps and Ann Taylor.
Footwear are from Payless shoe source and  Forever 21.
Bag is from CK.

Drop in a comment to tell me which dress you liked the most.

These summers !

Summers this year are new and different, myself being here in Florida. I feel a lot dry, my lips dry up so often.
And I am not a kind of person who can drink gallons of water either, so all the while I am into a feeling of sipping something cool and refreshing.
We have got a parlor nearby, Tropical smoothie. And I had been visiting it often to grab something new over there.
Over a time I have realized that I should make them all at home, that way I can cater to my varying tastes and moods.

Extras : - There has been a strikingly common thing between what me and my husband choose in menus for ice-creams, shakes and smoothies. Banana. That's a way we filter out the menus. We look for key 'banana' and then compare the results to make a choice. And we have never disappointed ourselves ever.

So, now I bring different fruits home and blend them to make a real yum smoothie.
As of now, top on the charts is Kiwi Mango Blast ( named it just like that ). And yea it is a no-banana smoothie. :D

I take one mango + one peach + one kiwi + few grapes and blend them simply in the mixer. This choice of fruits doesn't ask me to add any sugar either.

And I am sipping through this yummy soothing smoothie to beat the heat.

Try making your own with your choice of indulgences. I would post few more in following days. Till then have a SMOOTHIEng time :)

Bitter gourd Recipe

Hi Guys.
I think this is for the first time onto my blog that I am gonna share a recipe.
And this is because I love the final taste that comes out of it.

I had been making bitter gourd earlier. But that used to taste a lot bitter. I have tried a numerous ways in making it and so far this has come out to be a really wonderful one.

My husband likes this vegetable a lot and because I could not make them good enough, I didn't want him to give up on it. So I kept trying and here I have one nice recipe to share.I have developed this recipe over time suited to my taste and my ways of cooking.

I usually take 5 pieces of bitter gourd, 2 potatoes, 1 onion, 2 medium-sized tomatoes, 4 - 5 pieces of garlic.

At night itself, I peel bitter gourds , cut them vertically in two-halves, take out the seeds inside, cut into small pieces, wash into water, kept aside in a plate with salt mixed into it. That helps the bitter juice to separate out over the night. Don't throw away the peelings. Take them in a sieve, wash thoroughly and keep them aside as well with little salt mixed.

I don't have picture for that.I am sorry for that. Would update this post next time I would make them.

At morning, just give the pieces a nice squeeze and a wash again and same for the peelings as well.

Take a kadhai, put some oil. Put bitter gourd pieces into it. Fry till it turns little brown. Take them out. Now put the peelings and give them a light fry too.

What I usually do with potatoes is that I cut them into small rounds, and grease a pan with some oil, and put those pieces into the pan and give them a nice bake over a sim for 10-15 mins, on both the sides.  That gives them a nice crisp taste. I believe this can be alternatively done in oven too. But I prefer this way due to its ease. And I use such potatoes in many vegetables, like Bhindi, Cauliflower etc.

Now put some oil in kadhai, put sliced onions, garlic cut into small pieces. Give them a light fry till they are golden.

Put tomatoes, you can either put puree or cut tomatoes in small pieces. Fry them for a while till they mix well. I put chopped green chillis also. Now put some salt, coriander powder, fennel seeds, and garam masala. Mix well.
Now put potatoes, bitter gourd pieces and the peelings. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for another 15-20 mins on sim.

It is ready to be served.
